IIMUN

Indian International Model United Nations (IIMUN) is a youth run organization which organises MUN conferences for students across 100 cities in India and 15 countries. It is an academic simulation of United Nations where students act as diplomats and discuss various international affairs and tries to come up wiyth solutions to them.

IIMUN SESSION

Honing their Munning skills -Getting ready to lead the world:

A session of the Role Model Series of I.I.M.U.N on 16 July 2024was attended by 39 students of Queen Mary School. It was held at Yashwant Rao Chawan Auditorium,Nariman Point.This session gave the students an opportunity to interact with IPS officer Vishwas Nangre Patil, Irom Sharmila (Indian Civil Rights Activist) and Harsh Mariwala (the founder and chairman of Marico).

The IIMUN Icebreaking session with the participants was conducted by Mr.Arnav Jhaveri on 17th March 2016. He emphasized on the importance of connecting with the audience and focused on the communication skills essential in this field.

Global connect -> IIMUN On the 20th of August 2017 , six Queen Marians,namely Atyantika Parasrampuria, Harshita Patil ,Krishma Kadu , Palak Sheth ,Varishtha Desai and Vanshika Mithani along with teacher Mrs.Parab visited the 'National Aerounautics and Space Administration' (NASA) in Orlando as a part of the trip to the US by the Indian International Model United Nations which is the world's largest MUN organisation.

The student as well as the teacher got an experience of a lifetime to see actual space shuttles,watch 3D short films on Space and the Universe, learn about Mars Rovers and the future space missions to the Red Planet. They even got the golden opportunity to experience how a space shuttle takes off from the inside! We spent an entire day at NASA and Kennedy Space Centre which felt surreal.

They got a closer view of an astronaut's life in space like,how they sleep and shower. and got to know a lot about our very own real life Wonder Woman - Kalpana Chawla. It was indeed a very enriching experience for the entire team.
